Becoming an Agent

The process in becoming a retail agent for Victorian Trailers is quite simple, just call us on  03 9359 3122  to arrange for an initial meeting (or phone meeting for interstate  applicants) whereby we will have a general discussion. Find more information under the “Agents” section on this website.
Victorian Trailers has been operating for over 31 years as an Australian manufacturer and wholesaler and is able to offer a wealth of knowledge and expertise when it comes to trailers. With a large established network Australia wide and three trucks providing a dealer exclusive logistics service*, we are able to offer a seamless and streamlined process in manufacturing and supplying your stock.
Our trailers are engineered and built tough and we hold several design patents for convenient features and functions only found on Victorian Trailers.
* This service is at an additional costs to stock orders.
Generally speaking, the minimum order when starting up as an agent is around $10,000 which allows for several trailers. As an agent, the more stock you hold adds to your credibility as a retail supplier as consumers like to have choice when considering a new trailer.
Subsequent order quantities may be arranged with Victorian Trailers as required.

Yes, Victorian Trailers is an Australian manufacturer that supplies its trailers nationwide. Our additional cost in-house logistics service comprising three trucks and a trained driver means that we can safely deliver your trailer order interstate to any location*. <br/>

* Note: Agents must confirm minimum order amount for long distance deliveries.

No, Victorian Trailers builds on their relationship with their agents and wants them to succeed as much as possible in order to create a win-win situation where the agent maximises on their sales and Victorian Trailers has a high turnover in manufacturing.
We have devised a rule that we believe to be fair in providing our agents with exclusivity within an area. That being that we will not supply to another business within a radius any less than 15km from an existing agent’s retail outlet.
The only exception to the rule would be under extraordinary circumstances where the agent is not generating a healthy number of sales.
Yes, Victorian Trailers has an in-house designer that can cater for all your marketing requirements at an additional service cost.
This may include the supply of unique professional trailer images, custom photography on your premises, brochure layout and print, website design and development, banner flags design and supply, signage design and installation and more.

Yes, in fact Victorian Trailers encourages you to create your own branding as it increases consumer confidence and hence sales when you have a strong company brand.

Payment of trailer stock is due upon pick up/ collection of the trailer stock. All deliveries are to be paid before dispatch. There are no exceptions to this unless arranged and agreed to prior to placing the order.
Yes, we will load the trailers onto your transport but you must arrange the pick-up time beforehand. You must ensure that you have all fastening devices to securely attach the trailers to your transport.
Victorian Trailers will deliver Australia wide for an additional cost. The benefit of this additional service is that we use our own trucks with trained drivers to ensure safe delivery of your trailers and they are loaded onto the trucks by Victorian Trailers at the factory.
There are certain minimum order conditions for long distance deliveries which must be discussed and confirmed during the ordering process.
The main requirements for stocking the trailers as an agent are a large storage space and a forklift.
Yes, Victorian Trailers has a range of replacement parts and accessories that agents can purchase in addition to the trailers. Please contact us if you are interested in stocking parts as well as trailers.

Technical

As a trailer manufacturer, Victorian Trailers manufactures at least 80% of the trailers here in Australia. We also carry a small inventory of imported trailers so that we can offer a wider range of models to suit different budgets. Rest assured, any trailers manufactured overseas are made under our design guidelines and comply with the relevant standards.

Warranty

Victorian Trailers offers a 12 month materials and workmanship warranty on all trailers.
This warranty excludes paintwork, rust, and second hand wheels and tyres.
As an agent, you must make your customer aware that the 12 month materials and workmanship warranty on all trailers excludes paintwork, rust, and second hand wheels and tyres.
You must also inform your customers that the warranty will be void if the trailer is misused, used commercially or no proof of purchase is presented.
